On July 3rd, the International Affairs Office of BCU organized all foreign teachers working in the school to have a teaching experience sharing session for this semester. The Deputy Directors of School of Foreign Studies Ms Liu Jiaoyue and Ms Lv Yingli, the Deputy Director of International Affairs Office Ms Li Xuemeng, all foreign teachers and Chinese teachers from relevant departments attended the session.
On the session, foreign teachers teaching different languages including English, French, Spanish, German, Japanese and Korean participated in the discussion and exchanged their teaching experience and methods with each other. By provided real teaching cases, they discussed in details about how to motivate students, arouse their interests, and how to deal with difficulties the teachers themselves have experienced in this semester’s teaching.
Apart from daily teaching, the foreign teachers are actively involved in the extra-curriculum activities to better encourage students learning enthusiasm. The teacher who is organizing and operating the English Corner activity shared his own experience on how to attract students’ learning interest, catering for their learning needs, and combining various teaching skills, which inspired other foreign teachers a lot. At last, the Chinese teachers and foreign teachers interacted with each other on their ideas about teaching, extra-curriculum activities and specialty development in the future.
The session is conducted in a relaxed and harmonious atmosphere, with foreign and Chinese teachers talking happily and freely. All teachers present at the meeting said that they had gained a lot from each other through this session.We believe this will further promote the development of the teaching work in the School of Foreign Studies.
