As an advocate of life-long education, BCU is dedicated to fostering sustainable talents. BCU strives to create a student-centered learning environment where students never feel like just a number. The university recognizes the function of education as a perfecting process without limitations on individuals in every dimension. Thus, it systematically promotes the development of students¨ character, culture and scientific investigation. Life outside the classroom is an important part of the University. It is BCU that first implements the concept of City Public Welfare Volunteers, who are encouraged to participate in various public welfare activities and achieve personal development at the same time. In addition, the University coordinates lively campus activities as well as offering its students a broad range of organizations from fraternities and sororities to honor societies and clubs for different majors. Students spend their time on campus either studying or participating in the different academic, cultural and sports events sponsored by the University. Apart from the activities organized by the University as a whole, each department arranges different events that promote the participation of its students and contribute to their personal and professional development. These activities give students a chance to enhance their college experience and build their confidence by meeting new people, helping the local community and developing leadership skills which cultivate a dynamic, creative way of thinking.
